Up To Something Blue
Welcome to Blue Hands
Blue Hands started as a summer-only festival led by fellow artists. It has since evolved into a well-loved, year- round event or upon request, attended by new and returning participants. We are dedicated to providing top-notch local services to our community. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service. We take pride in what we do and strive to make a positive impact through our services.
At Blue Hands, our commitment to community and local businesses is unwavering. Our enthusiasm for what we do motivates us to constantly enhance and innovate, distinguishing us from others. We are more than just a service provider; we are your partners in building a better community.
Our Work in the Community
Blue Hands Festivals
Blue Hands Festivals are open to 25-30 people and generally take place in the Manitou Art Center courtyard. The Festival has been a MACH Grant and Manitou Springs Community Foundation recipient, which allows admission to be $10 for adults and kids are free.
Blue Hands Clubs
Blue Hands Clubs start in October and go through May. They take place the evening of the second Friday of the month in the Manitou Art Center's Dye Lab. This event is open to a max of 12 people for $40 and are more intimate than the Festival.
In Club, we have first time and returning participants exploring in-depth and various shibori techniques demonstrated by instructors. Many times, people will practice techniques between meetings and return with their "homework" to dye them in our vats.
